lyrics
I woke up one morning and couldn't open my eyes,
But for some reason my sight wasn't gone.
Something was weird about that place,
For a second I thought I was dead.
As if mesmerized, I went to the mirror,
And it was my biggest mistake.
Well, after all, it doesn't matter at all,
'Cause meeting it was inevitable,
But a rainbow comes only after a storm,
Shining with sparks of a new hope.
If you walk through thick walls,
You can stuck there and lose control.
If there is noise in your door lock,
Being silent won't help at all.
If you raise your shaking hand,
Don't be surprised it will be sore as hell.
If you hear voices behind your spine,
You'd better not to turn around.
Trapped in this room I tried to scream on it,
Begging it, "Go away, just not again,"
But all my efforts were in vain,
'Cause it stood still as if bound in chains.
The cold reflection only stared quietly.
The eeriest was that this lifeless thing looked like me.
But a rainbow comes only after a storm,
Shining with sparks of a new hope.
If you can't move anything,
Try to stay calm or else you are doomed.
If you see something in a corner,
Don't even doubt, it'll try to get closer.
A squeezing feeling in the throat
Doesn't mean something sits on your chest,
But if you fall down on the floor,
Don't ever think of looking under the bed.
I harshly violated all these binding rules
And hastily escaped the depressing room.
I wanted nothing, but the only one thing – to break free
From the boring mundanity and the bleak reality.
I'm flying among white clouds,
But I've never felt so sad.
If I keep going bravely,
It will follow me.
Neither heavy rain, nor forks of flame
Will drown my dreams or burn my wings.
Many deep fears, the only one wish – to break free
From the boring mundanity and the bleak reality.
I'm flying towards gray clouds,
But I've never felt so happy.
If I fall downhearted and weak,
Still...
It will follow me
Like easy prey.
It will follow me,
It will follow me eternally.
Like a venomous snake,
It will follow me,
It will follow me silently.
Even if I run to the middle of nowhere,
Where nobody lives, it won't be gone.
It clang to me just once,
Now it follows me
And it will follow me at my heels.
It will follow me
Like easy prey.
It will follow me,
It will follow me eternally.
Like a venomous snake,
It will follow me,
It will follow me silently.
Even if I run to the middle of nowhere,
Where nobody lives, it won't be gone.
It clang to me just once,
Now it follows me
And it will follow me at my heels.
Like a shadow in the night,
I can't see it, but I can hear it deep inside.
Thunderclouds and lightning have covered the horizon,
This is the time to face it...
But a rainbow comes only after a storm,
Shining with sparks of a new hope.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
Taking people to the dark.
It hides the world down below,
Filled with rains and a piercing cold.
So, next time you fall asleep,
Don't neglect this useful tip.
Though it can be dreadful and terrible,
As well as colorful, beautiful,
Be careful, it can be a dream in a dream.
It will swallow you before you know it.
Don't lose touch with reality.
Think twice, it may not be worth it.

Winter wind blasted atmospheric black metal from the desolate fields of Siberia. Crisp production and an excellent performance. Grima is a must check out for any black metal fan. 8/10 RJ
Belgian Doom / Death Metal. This is a fantastic album & one I had somehow missed when it came out. Thank you to Sælzer Bub for showing me the way here! I love the vocals, the changes in tempo & the crushing riffs throughout! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
I saw these gents open the evening for DWeF in Trier some weeks ago. The vocalist seemed terribly shy between songs and then went full-on beastmode on the vocals again; him overcoming this was one of the most metal things I have ever seen. Vi Overlevde is, excuse this, bizarrely good. Not too posty, but still with a remarkable edge and a pretty unique feel to it. Maybe I'm still carried away by the live performance, but alas! This is great. Ensomhet is... beyond words. Kom til meg! David Fischer
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
Another scorcher from the phenomenal one-man black metal outfit STARER, with mind-flaying riffs and eerie tremolo-picked melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 31, 2023
Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023
I don't know about others, but I personally feel melancholic rather than depressed. The atmosphere is so thick that you can cut it with a knife, and after listening to this album (twice in a row), I can safely say that it will not end with two listens Kurt Von Jazzenhoff
